I wanted to make an extension that saves edits automatically when a feature is finished as a first foray into python add-ins. Dont see that is possible but I want to be sure before I abandon the project.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think you can only do that if your edit session was started and managed with the arcpy.da.Editor class.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I do not think you can invoke a save in a standard interactive edit session.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;...But it would be handy to be able to do that.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
