    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi there,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Can anybody tell me if there is a way to detect the active tool within a python add-in?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm intending to use the onCurrentTaskChanged event but I only want use it when the user is using a split tool or a topology change tool. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;So is it possible to find out which tool the user is currently using?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Any help on this is much appreciated.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Cheers,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Anke&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
