"Could not reserve enough space for object map" issue

Hello - I am using Python 2.6 with ArcGIS 10 on a Windwos 2008 server. I have a simple Python script that imports arcpy and subsequently imports an ArcGIS Toolbox. What I get when I try to run the script either from the command-line or from the IDLE interface is the following error:

Error occurred during initialization of VM

Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Sometimes this occurs from just importing the arcpy module and other times when it tries to load my toolbox (based on debug print statements). I have gone into the server manager to stops other apps so that the overall memory is sitting around 20% or so. Not sure what is going on. Any thoughts on what i am running into?

track down error messages relating to your server settings. since this thread was never answered or similar threads found, it must be a unique or obscure problem due to configuration
