Make XY Event Layer Works in Model but not in exported Python at 10.0

Hi,

I have a data management model that converts an SDE based table into an XY Event Layer file and then converts that into a feature class for further processing. It works fine as a model, but when I export it to python the Make XY Event Layer bombs with a 732 error.

ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid.
ERROR 000732: XY Table: Dataset 'E:\testing\qvsql02.sde\ARC_SDE10.SDE.GPCoordDataLoad' does not exist or is not supported
Failed to execute (MakeXYEventLayer)

I have tested that the connection to the database does work and that the file is accessible. The parameters have not changed since it worked in the model.

Suggestions?
