    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Shapefiles &lt;STRONG&gt;start&lt;/STRONG&gt; in dBase (.dbf) format, so there's no need to export at all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The FID column in shapefiles is not real.&amp;nbsp; Even if you &lt;STRONG&gt;do&lt;/STRONG&gt; create a table with a "FID" column, it will be renamed because that identifier is reserved.&amp;nbsp; I'm not an expert in the Access implementation, but I assume the OID is much the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since you cannot control the naming (or sequencing) of FID or OID, I recommend you ignore their existance, and only use key columns that you have created.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- V&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
