Hey,

I have made a script, that adds .lyr files from a folder to an .mxd and it works like a charm, however, I'd like to update the script, so a user can specify which .lyr files to add to the .mxd

The tool adds the specified .lyr into a Legend, so if the updated script can do the same, but with .lyr added by the user and not pre-defined location.

The script is going to run in modelbuilder as the last task

You could use model builder to let the user pick the desired workspace.

This is not what I am looking for. Sorry

The user needs to be able to choose the desired layer files to the script. The script afterwards exports to PDF with a legend etc and therefor not something I wan't to do in model builder.

I am doing all pre-work in modelbuilder. Modelbuilder does all clipping etc, but the user should afterwards decide which layer files he/she is going to use in the final export (PDF). I hope it makes better sense?
