User managed data stores - sub folders recognized?

I am publishing an image service from a raster in a subfolder of a folder that is registered as a data store. I am getting the 'source data not registered, layers will copied to the server.' message

Aren't subfolders included when one registers a folder to the server?

Would this be because this folder was added after I created the user managed data store?

Sub folders are supported.

Couple of things to check:

The folder registration may use the hostname of the machine that the data is published from. Are you using that same publishing machine as that listed in the data store registration?

The folder could be a fully qualified domain name of where the imager is, and you could be using a different alias or only the host name. They have to be exactly the same.

Check those couple of things and revert?
