topic How to update an existing map image layer on Portal with new data without republishing and restarting it? in Publishing and Managing Services Questions

i have created a map image service from a raster dataset and now i want that service to be automatically updated at a specific time interval when the data at my local machine will be updated. I don't want to republish the service or restart it as in that case all my symbology will be lost and i don't want that. How can i do that?

I want to achieve something like this :

https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/schedule-automated-near-real-time-data-updates/#update-a-hosted-feature-layer

This tutorial works with shapefiles and feature services but i want the same workflow with a raster dataset and image service. is there a possibility that i can implement thi?
