Hello,

My name is Nancy. I'm trying to get the type of streets abbreviated to their proper abbreviation ( Street to ST, Road to RD, Drive to Dr). What is best to use, the field calculator or the raster calculator?? Completely loss...don't know what to do. Any ideas??

Much appreciated,

Thanks!

I just use the Find and Replace. Make sure in your search you use match case or put space before Road (or other Suffixes). If you don't you may end up with Broadway being BRdway.

It looks like you posted this question in GeoNet Help which is for questions regarding the use of GeoNet itself. You will get better response if you move this to another 'place' such as GIS.

-Steven

You can do a bulk replace using the field calculator, as outlined in this thread: Python - using Replace in Field Calculator
