Hello,

I am a new user of ArcGis.

This may sound like a silly question. However I really could not find a way to get rid of the cursor pertaining to a specific tool. Say for example, the Pan tool.

After panning a map I wanted to select the Magnifier tool from Windows tab in main menu. But the magnifier tool is not selectable and I guess that is because the Pan tool is active.

Appreciate if someone could enlighten me on this.

Thank you.

Hi Tharaka,

The scale of the data frame seems to be fixed.

Go to Data frame properties (e.g. Layers) from Table of Contents. Click on Data frame tab.

Drop down the Extent to Automatic. Click OK.

This should solve the issue

Thanks,

Jay

I had a similar problem but it was with the menus not behaving.

The way I fixed it was to change the resolution of my screen. I had a magnify set on the screen, when I set that back to 100% the menus started operating as normal.
