Export Selected Set of Features After Select By Location with Intersect Exports All Features

Environment: ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2 Modelbuilder, all data in the same map projection, AGOL hosted layer as input layers, exported feature class saved in project's file geodatabase.

Question 1 of two-part question: I have an AGOL hosted feature layer containing 187,882 parcels and an AGOL hosted feature layer of a single watershed polygon. I can manually Select By Location all parcels intersecting the watershed boundary within a search distance of 600 feet as a new selection set resulting in 848 selected parcels, then export features (using the selected set option) and this saves a feature class with 848 parcels. This is the desired and expected output.

The Modelbuilder equivalent of the above process (below) results in all 187,882 parcels being exported and the selection set is ignored. Whereas the manual Export Features provides a "use selected set" option which is enabled by default, the Modelbuilder's Export tool Parameters does not provide a "use selected set" configuration option. I verified the ArcGIS Project > Selection Option "Save Layers and Tables with Their Current Selection" is enabled. Is there a Modelbuilder Export Tool Filter or Properties setting that will only export the selected set?

Question 2 of two-part question: The output feature class from the above model is created and added to the project's file geodatabase. However, The Catalog View does not show the exported feature class, and I am unable to add the exported feature class to my map until I save and exit the project and then reopen it. Is there an ArcGIS Pro tool or configuration setting that automatically shows new data added to a file geodatabase without having to first save and exit the project? Apologies if I am missing something obvious - I am an ArcGIS Pro newbie.

Did you ever find an answer to this? I've recently upgraded to 3.5 and now some of my models that rely on interactive selections for export are no longer working. A layer selection has always been honored by modelbuilder tools in the past. Thanks for any update.

Regarding Question 1 above, I omitted a "Select by Attribute" step prior to the "Select by Intersection". I erroneously thought that only one watershed polygon was selected (it wasn't). It seems to be working now. Chalk it up to a newbie error and the benefit of taking time away from debugging the model. I have since upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 3.5.4.

Regarding Question 2, the Catalog View now shows the output feature class in the file geodatabase. I am speculating that the ArcGIS Pro upgrade resolved the problem.
