In Model builder

I would like to use a database as the selection mechanism for selecting attributes within a shape file.

I have a US ZIP Code shape file with Region ID in the Attribute field.

I have a database (dbf) or Excel with 50 Region ID’s.

I would like to select all ZIP Codes within the Shape File by each Region ID listed in the Database and write out the selected features to a file with the Region ID as part of the output Shape file filename.

I could do this individually but would rather automate the process as the Zones will multiply in the future.

Thanks for replying to my selecting using table input question. I created a quick model using what I think your attempting to show me and it failed.

I assume, not being a regular model builder user, that my issue is in the select layer by Attribute portion of the model. How do I get the value out from the Iterate field values tool to

Be used as a valid expression into the select layer by attribute?

I linked the value as an expression to the select Layer by Attribute tool but it appears that that’s where the model is breaking.
