ArcGIS Explorer app does not support ArcGIS Online personal accounts

I recently deleted the old ArcGIS app from my Android phone and replaced it with the Explorer app.

I was surprised to discover that the Explorer app does not support personal accounts. Which Esri apps still support personal accounts?

Why can't I sign in?

There are a couple of common issues when trying to log in:

Verify that you typed your user name and password correctly.

Make sure your account is part of an ArcGIS organization. Explorer does not support using ArcGIS Online public accounts.
