Update attributes only in Collector

Hello

I heard that it was possible to set up collector so that the user can only update the features attributes, not the geometry, or have the ability to create a new feature. So essentially the feature is read-only BUT the attributes can be changed/updated

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Samuel,

Go the item details page for the hosted feature layer you are using in Collector, click Edit and then find the Editing options under the Properties section. Select Update feature attributes only. Should do the trick.

Anyone know how to do this using feature services hosted from an on premises ArcGIS Server rather than through AGOL. I am able to change the settings on our feature service through ArcGIS Server and it will still view in Collector, but will not allow for offline download/sync if I uncheck any of the options to make it update only. I have tried multiple combinations of these checkboxes, below is what I think should work, but it does not. If I have all of them checked the features download offline just fine, but then they can edit anything in any way.

Any solutions on this yet? I know it's possible on the AGOL Hosted Layers but when you use AGOL Hosted Layer you loose the "live" connection with other uses and also, lose the functionality of subtypes.
