Split the fused cache map

Hi everyone,

I am working on a map with a fused cache service basemap, that when I try to turn the layers off, it gives the message: "This type of layer cannot be turned on or off." I need to convert it to a multiple layer basemap and split it to its sub-layers. Is there any way to do that?

Aza,

No once the map service has been cached as fused, you would have to recreate the cache for the map service to be able to have it unfused.

Thanks Rober for your response! But how can I recreate the cache? I do not have access to the original maps.

Aza,

Without the original mxd that was used to create the cached map service you are simply out of luck.
