topic Help! no COM ports in Mapping Questions

I have a bluetooth GPS mouse (type HOLUX gpslim236). The GPS mouse is installed with correct drivers.

I want to make the GPS position visible on a map. The GPS mouse is connected to a virtual COM port (COM port 12). For visualizing the GPS position I used the 'GPS toolbar' in ArcMap. By choosing 'GPS Connection Setup' I attempt to select the correct COM port.
However, the problem is there is no COM port to select in the box beside 'Communication Port'. It's empty!

When I choose the option 'Detect GPS Port' I get a failure message: Unable to detect GPS device on COM ports supported by the hardware.

Does anybody know what's going wrong?

Nico
