The Relative Main Line algorithm works with relative distances.
For the main line, its length and the distance between the nodes along it are quite respected. But, since the nodes along the other lines and branches are projected on this main line, the distance for those nodes on the resulting straight lines/branches can??t be real distances; these distances are relative.

When I use the "From link geometry" for initial distances between the nodes, the algorithm shortens the actual true distance, even though there was no curves. how to get the true distances between the nodes? The 'geo-initial position' algorithm gives the true distances but I need it in relative main. Any input is appreciated.
