Will ArcGIS 10.3 support export to adobe illustrator? If not, what types if export options are there going to be?

ArcGIS 10.2.2 supports exporting the map to ai (Adobe Illustrator).

I don't understand the future tense - 10.3 and 10.3.1 are both released.

The 10.3 help is online so you can see what's available now. ArcMap 10.3.x and arcpy 10.3.x continue to support pdf export.

Exporting your map—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Pro on the other hand does not export to Adobe Illustrator, just to PDF. This was a business decision by Esri based on the fact that Adobe's format is not public so it gets more and more difficult to create output that current versions of AI can read. PDF is publicly published so they have turned to that as the best they can do.
