Is there a way to highlight a particular highway on a layer?

I have a layer for streets and highways on AcrMap 10.3. I want to highlight a particular highway on the layer.

You can do that through symbology, a definition query, make it its own layer, a number of ways, perhaps you could elaborate on what you have tried.

As Dan mentioned, there are many ways to do this. Can you give more specifics on where you are trying to highlight the highway? Are you just needing to see a selected feature while in ArcMap? Or are you trying to show it with a different symbol for a map output? Or maybe you are trying to highlight it differently within a web map? Knowing this info will let others give a more appropriate/correct answer.

Knowing this would also help in determining where your question should be moved. The Community help are is actually for help about the forums not for general help (confusing I know). Thank you for straightening that out for me. But I want to highlight US 52 on a Winston map. I am trying to show a change in population in the East and West side of Winston with US 52 as the divider.

I fyou would want to symbolize or highlight an area on either side of a line (highway in your case), you would want to create a polygon layer, if you do not already have one. Then you could add a field with the information that you would want and change the symbology on that.

Manual Highlight:

You can use Tablet toolbar for highlight something.

1-active Tablet Toolbar.

2- click on highlight icon.

3- move on the highway that you want to highlight.
