We often have requests of 'what properties have this on it'. This question could be answered in our previous web map viewer however Local Maps is missing the functionality for a user to select the layer they wish to query against. This means that requests like this now have to come to us to be completed using desktop software.

It would be great to be able to enable our staff to be able to complete these requests themselves either as part of the current select widget or as an added in query/select widget.

Hi @TaupoDistrict_Council - would you be able to elaborate on this a bit for us? Are your users looking to understand what other "information or features" are on a certain property? Not like the Feature Queries functionality - are you looking for a more 'Ad hoc" tool? More like the Query widget?

If you could step through your workflow and expected outcome that would be really helpful. Or have some specific examples you could provide that would be great. Thanks.

Hi @TaupoDistrict_Council. Just came across this requirement and would like to provide an update around this.

In 3.1, you can achieve this by selecting the layer you want to query against and selecting by drawing a shape (rectangle, circle, etc.). You can then apply clauses to highlight the features which meets the criteria. Does this address this requirement?

E.g. In the images below, I have selected the properties in the map through the select widget. Then I applied a clause to highlight the properties that have a certain ID. In the second image, you can see the property is highlighted based on the criteria.
