Hi there,

I have not found any mention of spatial reference in the help file for associated features, but I noticed that one can associate layers to the parcel fabric that are in a different projection than the fabric. Are there any considerations that need to be made as far as the spatial reference of associated features? Do they need to share the same GCS as the fabric in order for feature adjustments to work properly? For example, can I associate a layer that has NAD83 as its GCS to a fabric that is using NAD83 HARN? Would I need to transform the associated feature class first?

Thanks,

Mike Z

After a little testing I found that a feature adjustment cannot be performed on a feature class that uses a different datum than the fabric. The tool will allow you to add it as an associated layer, but it will throw up an error message when you try to adjust.
