Hi there @Kate_Fickas!

I can't say there are any specific pain points. I tend to find myself doing the same workflow in Pro and wonder how it compares to other users who review/work with imagery.

Does anyone have suggestions for ways to review details for imagery other than in ArcGIS Pro?

For example, instead of the information you get in the properties pane for a TIFF in Pro, is there free software or method outside of ArcGIS Pro to do this? Just wondering if others have ways to get metadata on an image other than how I've been using Pro to do this.

Thank you!

Jon

Hi there! I would try the venerable, time-tested IrfanView. It's free. It's like a lightweight Photoshop. On the Mac, there is program with similar venerable history, GraphicConverter.

IrfanView - Official Homepage - One of the Most Popular Viewers Worldwide

Is there a bottleneck or pain point you have in Pro for the workflow to grab the metadata you're after?

@SheridanMoore you have any thoughts?

Good day Jon,

In general, metadata files are provided with the imagery when it is acquired from USGS, digital globe or others. It is a text document that can be opened in a notepad and you can view all the properties [Image attached]. Sometimes files are xml (e.g. ICEEYE) and you can open it to view the properties [depends on what is provided].

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
