I downloaded 2.6 tutorial data but cannot see the data in arcgis

Hi, I downloaded chapter tutorial data for ArcGis 2.6 but when I open arcgis and a new project, and click on the file, I dont' see the data even though the window indicates the data has loaded

Hell Mark,

Can you please indicate what tutorial you are using? Is it from a book? A website? Please share the title or URL.

Can you share a screenshot of what ArcGIS Pro looks like when the data is supposed to be loaded?

Hi Adena, I am using GIS Tutorial for ArcGIS Pro 2.6. It's a book. When

it is supposed to be loaded the name of the tutorial is at the top of the

window. I was thinking that maybe I can get access to the data through

the portal.

Hi Mark,

I can help you with this.

Did you download the data and save it to your computer?

The exercise data for the book can be downloaded from ArcGIS Online here:

https://learngis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=515b0894ef004b4c9d5f5fee497139b8

Click Open and the download will start.

Once it has downloaded, (probably to your downloads folder) click on the file setup.exe and click through the standard extraction process.

Then follow the instructions in the book for opening a project and using the data.
