topic webgisdr authentication in High Availability and Disaster Recovery Questions

We want to force MFA on our AGE 12.0 install. When enabled it works great. However, you can't use MFA with the account that runs the webgisdr tool. Since this user needs to be an admin, you'd need to make an MFA exception for that admin. Turning off MFA for an admin is a security risk.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this?

Had the same question recently: ArcGIS Enterprise Hardening and WebGISDR - Esri Community

One workaround I came up with was creating a dedicated built-in admin-account for webgisdr without MFA but with a complex username and really long and complex password. However, this is not a fully satisfactory solution.

Idea: WebGISDR authentication options - Esri Community
