Having trouble importing excel tables into ArcGIS Pro

I'm frequently having trouble adding excel tables to maps or importing them into my geodatabase in Pro. I keep getting error messages that say the container is empty, but when I try to import the same table to my geodatabase in Arc catalog, it works just fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Why can't I import my table directly into Pro?

Most people don't take the time to format an excel table to ease the process of bringing it into other software.

and quit skipping a step by trying to add directly, until you can format the perfect excel file and don't need the helper tool....

A big tip is only have the data you need on one sheet and treat each column as one data type (don't mix data)

Another tip is to ensure that your file names and paths are simple and preferably local.

Jennifer, I can beat that. I can't do what's necessary to even import...I think the drivers needed are there, but?
