Can toolbox tools be written in C#?

Can ModelBuilder toolbox tools be written in C#? I know that they can be created using ModelBuilder and Python.

Hi

This: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcobjects-net/conceptualhelp/0001/00010000049w000000.htm can give you idea of what you can do (with some examples).
After you build a tool you can use it just like any other tool (for example - put it in Model Builder).
It is not simple but it works.
