Model Builder-Select by location, multiple inputs

I was curious how to display multiple layers for the input feature drop down in the Select by Location query using model builder. They display when the layers are added to the map document, but is there a way to have them display in my model without adding them into the map? Do I need to set the properties to use a list of values?

Basically what I want to do is build 4 different select by location queries in 1 model, is this possible?
