Attribute join point data to GPS layer

Hi,

I need to join a large number of AVL point with point data (or non-spatial version).

The complexity is that I have a data table that has call information (both point data as well as non-spatial excel data) and I would like to join that to the GPS points.

As an example:

My GPS data is mainly per minute but my call information point data has only the starting and ending times.

Ex:

GPS Data

1 - 02/02/15 08:00

2- 02/02/15 08:01

3 - 02/02/15 08:02

4 - 02/02/15 08:03

5 - 02/02/15 08:04

6 - 02/02/15 08:05

7 - 02/02/15 08:06

8 - 02/02/15 08:07

My Call data only has this:

LHP0020200001 Start of call 02/02/15 08:00 End of call 02/02/15 08:05

So I would like to join the call info to the GPS layer for the time period of 08:00 to 08:05 and not have any call data information for the last two minutes since no call was handled during the last two minutes.

So after the join, it should look like this:

1 - 02/02/15 08:00 LHP0020200001

2- 02/02/15 08:01 LHP0020200001

3 - 02/02/15 08:02 LHP0020200001

4 - 02/02/15 08:03 LHP0020200001

5 - 02/02/15 08:04 LHP0020200001

6 - 02/02/15 08:05 LHP0020200001

7 - 02/02/15 08:06

8 - 02/02/15 08:07
