topic geocoding - match multiple candidates to same address in Geoprocessing Questions

Hello,

I have created a custom locator using the parcel layer of my community. However, there are instances where two/more separate parcels share the same identifier (see attached screenshot) and thus produces a situation where there are two legitimate candidates for the same record (see attached screenshot).

Is there a way to match both/multiple parcels to the same record in the geocoding process?

Thanks for your help!

Deb.

@dsinha Have you tried using the Match all selected button on the Rematch Addresses pane?

Click Match All Selected if you have selected a group of records manually or created a selection set based on a custom query and need to match all of the selected records to a single candidate. For example, a group of records contains the same wrong city or postal code and you want to match them all to the same candidate at once. Using Match All Selected speeds up the process of rematching the geocoded feature class.

@ShanaBritt unfortunately, I need to match the record(s) to multiple parcels with the same address. I talked with Esri analysts who informed me that there was no way to do that at this moment. My current workaround to this problem is to create a multipart polygon by merging all the individual polygons with the same address and then matching the record(s) to the multipart polygon.
