Hei,

I have several pieces of data in text format (name. XYZ) but I am unhable to upload them.

Map >>> Add Data >> XY point data (I can't see the file)

Map >>> Add Data >> Data

Open a window,

I go to input to upload the file, load the data and then have an Error message

Add data

Failed to add, unsupported data type.

How I solve that?

The input file are to many and I got in txt format with 3 columns of data without header

adding a header would help.

Is it comma separated or space separated?

file extension? *.txt ? *.csf ?

Hei Dan,

The extension is *.xyz

And I am very new to ArcGIS...

Can you suggest me a video where I can upload the files and convert them to a layers (the data is bathymetry)

And I got the data from another institution and I am afraid to change the file and corrupt them.

I need help 😞

The link was not very helpful to me because dont not really answer my question " where to click? Where is the Step by step..."
