Running ArcGIS Pro 2.7

Was getting ready to run a Clip on a set of polygons and came across the Pairwise Clip gp tool.

Clip (Analysis)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Pairwise Clip (Analysis)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

What is the difference between the two and what is a use case to run one over the other?

Pairwise Clip and Clip

Both tools use parallel processing. For the Pairwise Clip tool, parallel processing is enabled by default. For the Clip tool, it is enabled via the Parallel Processing Factor environment.

Please check the functional and performance considerations too. Comparison of classic overlay tools to pairwise overlay tools
