SLOW dialogue boxes in model builder

i am bringing up an old topic, that already was discussed in the old forum. by inserting data in my tool, everything is really slow. does anyone have a idea what causes this.
i deleted histroy and log files. it helped a little, but is still slow.

I have the same problems. I didn't find what to delete in my profile, but when I'm working with a new profile, it works normal again.
Hope it will be usefull.

what do you mean with working with a new profile. do you mean like acutually logging on the computer, with a different username?

I had the same problem and I found another way.
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data
Rename folder "ESRI" to "ESRI_old".
By restart of ArcCatalog a new folder "ESRI" will be created.
After that it's work really better. Of cours you lost your configuration in ArcCatalog.
