topic Join Attributes without Corresponding IDs in Geoprocessing Questions

Hello,

I believe my question is fairly simple, however I cannot figure out how to get it done. I have four layers:

- DOD (Department of Defense) Lands
- Area covered by USGS LiDAR
- Area covered by NCALM LiDAR
- Area covered by NOAA LiDAR

My goal is simply to append to the DOD attribute table whether it falls within USGS, NCALM, or NOAA range, or multiple. Also, within the attribute table for USGS, NCALM, and NOAA, it indicates the name of the .las file by which LiDAR is downloaded, I would like to add that field as well. I do not have any corresponding ID fields by which to join.

So, for example, let's say I have a military base in North Carolina; the entire state of NC is covered by USGS data, so I simply want all DOD polygons within NC to have "USGS" in the new field, "Agency." Also, let's say the file name is "PJCT_NAME NC_Phase2_2003", I would like a field that indicates that as well.

If you have any suggestions I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks
