Split Line at Points

Hi,

I would like to be able to split a line into segments based on points along the line. The points are a seperate layer that I would like to use to split the line into segments. I did find a VBA script in the old ESRI scripts site but it did not seem to work very well. Also, I would like to be able to do this in Model Builder. I am using ArcInfo 9.3.1. Thanks.

Floyd - at 9.3.x, the Split Lines at Point (Data Management) doesn't exist as it does at 10.0. One option is to download the 10.1 Evaluation copy (Advanced) and complete your work. Please see the following URL for details: http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgis-for-desktop/free-trial

Robert,

I am unable to download the 10.0 evaluation copy. I need to be able to create a model that can be run only in 9.3.1. Is there anything else that can be done in 9.3.1?

Does anybody have a solution for this in 9.3? I would like to include this in modelbuilder
