Asynchronous geoprocessing service not running

Anyone experiencing issues running a published asynchronous geoprocessing tool/service inside of ArcMap?

We have a geprocessing tool published with ArcGIS Server 10, and we are able to add this published tool to an ArcMap document. Running the tool with the synchronous option is fine. However, running the tool with the asynchronous option does not run. It completes as soon as you run it, with no results from the tool added to the map document.

I have been trying to get this issue resolved through ESRI, but they haven't found the cause of the issue yet, and are unable to reproduce it at their end.

Has anyone ran into a problem with this? I have tested with multiple machines locally and off-site, and all have the same problems (in both ArcMap 9.3 and 10) with the same asynchronous service, while the synchronous service is fine. The job does run on the server, and you can see the output if you browse to the job directory. The client just exits out with no results as soon as you execute the tool.

Anyone feel like testing an asynchronous geoprocessing service with ArcGIS Server 10 to see if you can get the results to display in ArcMap?

I figured out the issue, and ESRI was able to reproduce it. The problem occurs when you drag an asynchronous tool to the map document as a tool layer, and then try to run the tool from there. The asynchronous tool doesn't execute correctly, but the synchronous tool does. Both synchronous and asynchronous tools run fine if you run them from the toolbox.
