Make Feature Layer will not run in ModelBuilder

Hi,

I am using ModelBuilder, and my last step is to use the 'Make Feature Layer' tool to convert a polyline feature class to a layer. When I run the model from inside the ModelBuilder edit window it runs fine, and produces the layer file. However, when I try to run the Model by double-clicking the model icon, it runs with no errors but it does not create the layer file as an output.

I have set the layer file as 'Model Parameter' and have set 'Add to Display'.

Any ideas?

"...when a model is run from its tool dialog box, the Add To Display setting is ignored. To add the output to the display, you must make the output variable a model parameter. "

I have run into the same issue and I think it has something to do with the use of in-line variables. If you are using in-line variables, change them out for hard-coded values and see if it makes a difference.
