Distance matrix

Hi,
I am trying to calculate the distance matrix between the world capitals. I???m using ArcGIS 10, and I have the point layer. I tried to use the point distance function under analysis tools, but it did not want to run.

Do anyone have any suggestions?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

The point distance tool works perfectly for this operation. Are you getting an error running it?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I get the error code: 999999. I have also tried to do the same calculation for the centerpoint for all countries in the world, but it does not work for that either. Any suggestions for what might be wrong?

Can you upload a copy of your data? I downloaded a copy of world capital data from here (http://www.maptell.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=159&func=fileinfo&filecatid=121&parent=category) and the point distance tool calculated it fine. What SP are you on? What projection are you working in?
