Scripting additional Metadata tags to a replica GDB?

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to iterate through a replica's gdb and add a new metadata tag while maintaining the current metadata tags?

Reading https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/arcpy/metadata/metadata-class.htm it looks like you can overwrite an existing metadata tag, but not add to it?

This is for an internal Portal Sites Page, where I want to allow access to the production replica of my dev geodatabase.
