topic Does migrating an Oracle database break services already published to the ArcGIS Server? in Geodatabase Questions

Our IS department needs to migrate our Oracle geodatabase off of a Windows 2003 server. This will alter our TNSNAMES.ORA file. Will this cause issues with our services that have already been published to our ArcGIS Server from the geodatabase?

Hi Shannon - This is the beauty of TNS Names. As long as the ArcGIS Server gets the update TNS File you'll be good to go. Ideally run this in a test/staging environment first, but I've been through this type of migration many times with no problems.

Adam Z
