For someone just starting out, what’s the best way to gain hands-on experience with workflow automation and building dashboards that non-GIS users can actually use?

Hi everyone! Joseph here 🙂

I’m an Associate Data Engineer at Esri Singapore, where I build reliable geospatial data pipelines and automate workflows across the ArcGIS ecosystem. This includes ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, Online, Workflow Manager, Experience Builder, and the ArcGIS API for Python.

My recent projects focuses on developing audit-friendly, time-enabled data flows and operations dashboards for various government agencies in Singapore, covering workflow orchestration, schema governance, QA/QC, and “last-mile” app patterns for non-GIS users!

Outside of work, I’m passionate about urban analytics for sustainability, exploring topics like urban heat islands, food-waste spatial patterns, and remote sensing integrations.

Always happy to trade notes on workflow automation and schema design. Let’s chat or collaborate on a community project sometime!
