Allow Null Value Setting Preventing Append

Hello,

I am manually creating a stormwater utility network. I am at the point where I need to append my existing data to the feature classes created and customized within the Utility Network. I was able to append my point data to the utility network point features, but I get an error when appending line features: "ERROR 160145: the field is not nullable."

I have attempted to correct this by various means, but I learned that a feature class with data cannot have the "allow null value" attribute suspended.

Is there another workaround?
