Cannot find ex03a.mxd

I am a student and have downloaded the ArcGIS software, but I cannot find ex03a.mxd anywhere in my files to complete Exercise 3A from the textbook.

What textbook? Have you checked that the required data for the exercises doesn't need to be downloaded separately from the software? If it was downloaded, was the download a *.zip file? and was it extracted?

If you are using "Getting to know ArcGIS Desktop 10.8", download the zipped data from Getting to Know ArcGIS 10.8 Exercise Data - ZIP file

Once downloaded and unzipped, create and name a folder "EsriPress" and place this data within it in order to follow along with the book.

Thank you, but I'm using 10.7 version..is there one for the 10.7.1 to download?

the 10.7 version would cover the 10.7.1 version

The previous version (GTKAD-5) corresponds to ArcGIS Desktop 10.6. But I don't know how to access its resources.

I am moving the post to Esri Press, so that one of their team members can help.

Hi Wendy,

You can find the data for Getting to Know ArcGIS Desktop 5th edition here.

I checked and I do see Exercise 3a, so you should be good to go. Let me know if you have any issues though,
