Error 500 when searching CSW 202 compliant web service

Hi,

I successfully installed geoportal 1.2 (great features!) but I did not manage to make it search properly another CSW 2.0.2 compliant metadata web service (based on GeoNetwork).

In fact, the search on the entire external CSW catalog is working properly (it retrieves the records corresponding to my search string) but it fails when trying to add a BBOX constraint (using "Intersecting" option on the search page of geoportal 1.2).
I added the url of the external catalog in the ESRI geoportal demo application, you can check the error here :

The error comes from the BBOX parameter : "dimension must be <= 3" ...

Is it a bug or a problem with the external CSW endpoint ?
