topic Convert Annotation to Feature-Linked in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Questions

I have SDE annotation feature classes that are not feature-linked but should have been. They, for example, follow curving lines and those lines are in an SDE or other GDB FC. The annotation is of course now out of synch with the data. I am starting to clean up this mess.

What is the best way to build this association between the annotation and feature?

Many of the files are not huge, so I realize I could just set up nice Maplex labels and convert them to new annotation FC.

TIA
