Hello! Does anyone know where I may locate current gis data for administrative boundaries, townships, and villages for China?

Thanks for the info - it seems as if the data is from 2003 (probably even older 2000 or earlier). Do you know of any additional resources or have any contacts that would know of any data? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have contacted them before. They do have some free data on their website, but it is outdated. Their current resources are a bit pricey... http://chinadatacenter.org/DataCategory/DataCategoryContent.aspx?type=2&id=1624

Nidhin,
I am looking for more of an official dataset rather than a community dataset. Also, some of the data for China was from a GNS import, while the GNS data is okay for some people to use, I know the pitfalls of it. I would use OSM as a cross verifying dataset. Thanks for the suggestion. Any other ideas are welcome!
