topic Symbolizing data in a (1-M) related table in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Questions

I have created a relate (1-M) to a table in a geodatabase but now would like to symbolize the data in the related table. I want to use the Charts (stacked) symbology to show multiple values over a single point. Is there any way of doing this in ArcGIS without adding heaps of fields to the feature table? I have always imagined (until now) that this was straight forward in ArcGIS but now I'm begining to doubt whether it's possible......someone please restore my faith! I might have to resort to expanding the feature class table to hideous proportions (ugly)....
