Distributed Collaboration Default Item Ownership

I have a distributed collaboration with ArcGIS Online as the host, when I send items from Portal to AGOL there is a default account that owns all items transferred across the collaboration. I cannot find a way to change this default Admin account on ArcGIS Online. The account that it is transferring items to is not even the Admin account that created the collaboration in the first place! Does anyone have any insight on how I can change the default account items are transferred to in AGOL? I would prefer to not have to manually change ownership on each item involved in the distributed collaboration.

The default item owner upon receipt of items in Portal/AGOL is determined by the group owner for each workspace group. To change the default item owner, update the group owner for the associated workspace group in the receiving Portal/AGOL.
