Incorrect Experience Builder URL after sharing through Distributed Collaboration

Hi Team,

We recently shared an Experience Builder Application from ArcGIS Enterprise to ArcGIS Online. We have found that the resultant URL provided in the ArcGIS Online item details page for the Experience Builder Application does not match the format for other ArcGIS Online native Experience Builder Applications and is causing us issues when attempting to share it via ArcGIS Hub.

The URL format for Experience Builder Applications in ArcGIS Online is typically: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/<itemID>

the URL format for the collaborated application is: https://<OrgName>.maps.arcgis.com/apps/experiencebuilder/experience/?id=<itemID>

Attempting to hit the collaborated URL only loads a white screen, but if the itemID is used in the ArcGIS Online Experience Builder URL format, the Application can be accessed.

Upon review, the URL for the collaborated application matches the URL structure of the source Experience Builder application in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Is this expected?

Based on the documentation, Experience Builder apps does not seem to be supported.

Can I share web apps in distributed collaboration?
Yes. Starting at ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1, ArcGIS Enterprise collaboration participants can share web apps to other ArcGIS Enterprise participants that are at a version equal to, or later than, their own as well as ArcGIS Online. Supported web apps are those created from configurable web app templates and Web AppBuilder. Group-based web applications are supported at 10.8 and later.

Thanks for responding! The documentation indicates that Experience Builder Apps are supported:

Experience Builder apps and templates can be shared with collaboration participants, creating a corresponding app or template item in the collaboration. Application theme items, as well as any related items, are shared with participants. Organization utility resources included with an app, such as printing, are updated to use the corresponding utility services on the recipient's portal. Only the sending organization can make edits to the app or template, which are then shared with collaboration participants. URLs that are added directly to the app will reference the source item. Only published content can be shared with collaboration participants.

Technical support has identified the behaviour as a bug:

BUG-000167743: When sharing an ArcGIS Web Experience from ArcGIS Enterprise to ArcGIS Online through distributed collaboration, the resulting URL format doesn’t match the structure used by ArcGIS Online. This discrepancy results in the experience failing to load in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub
