How can I return account details for portal users that are viewing my web application?

It is my understanding that Portal only records the view total for applications and services and doesn't provide the details of who the viewers were.

Portal logs only will record use activity when items are created / deleted and updated. It doesn't record activity for viewing.

@Richard_Purkis does this limitation apply only to portal or does it apply to ArcGIS Online as well? Also, do you know if the ability to retrieve viewer details will be available in the future?

ArcGIS Online has the same logging mechanism as Portal so it is not possible to view logs for user viewing content on that platform either.

If this is functionality you want implemented, I recommend you submit an idea. This is the recommended way users can influence the direction of ESRI software. The ArcGIS Online team are very active on the Community and if the idea receives significant traction it will be reviewed.
