Hello, I have done a portal install a while ago at version 10.7.1

I am now getting a warning message 'please sign in to access the item on ...'

every time I access the content page or indeed any item in the portal. This has only started to come up.

I have checked the ssl certificate is valid. Also, I have unfederated my arcgis server site and tried to reconfigure the web adaptor.

Any idea what would be causing this behaviour in portal?

Hi,

I assume you are the administrator for the Portal for ArcGIS at your firm? Can you confirm if the role was changed or does the item in question is using any other source as a layer which had a different permissions or grants?

This can be caused by changes to the webadaptor name and/or webcontexturl/privatePortalUR not being set correctly. Related: Problem: Unable to Access the Settings Tab in the ArcGIS Enterprise Portal
